ApeironVR plans to build a social virtual reality (VR) platform that will let people around the world meet together within large-scale photorealistic VR environments. Photographs gathered from beautiful and inspiring geographical places, such as coastal paths and mountain terrains, will be converted into immersive 3D virtual simulations using techniques such as photogrammetry, machine learning and 3D digital modelling.

Users will be able to effortlessly interact with these virtual worlds through their televisions without the need for expensive VR headsets. The ApeironVR platform will enable friends, families and other groups to come together as they meet, chat, explore, exercise, dance, or play sports and games within the rich virtual environments.
